Highlights
Quality
Easy setup with air m1 and amazingly fast transfers.
I have two of these now and it makes it easy to work on 4k & 5k projects on my laptop.
Rather it has a permanently connected, very short cable which plugs into your mac's thunderbolt port.
It would boot and work pretty well after it finally came up but it took forever to boot.
Price
It's worth the $$ if you need high speed transfer of big files.
Shipping
While waiting for the envoy drive to arrive (amazon delivered in 24 hours by the way) i attempted backup on old hd.
Third: owc envoy pro ex arrived and hooked it up expecting maybe an hour to 1 1/2 hr.
Competitiveness
I have alway found owc to have solid products for macs and this time was no different.
