Pros

The activity lights on the front are hella bright. Drives inside are a bit noisy but overall this product works. Owc comes through with a good quality item.

Cons

Owc mercury elite pro dual has two major it is noisy. It continually spins down and the computer has to wait for it to spin back up. It has the worst hardware raid controller i’ve ever seen.

Which of course is faster, but not as fast as i hoped.

Competitiveness

I installed a 6tb and a 8tb drive running individually.

First enclosure i found that easily supports both 10tb and 12tb hgst helium drives!

4gb/s and dropped to 90mb/s (singular files of 30gb+) which i could not explain.

There were some oddities transferring files from the pc (samsung 960 pro 1tb ssd) to the enclosure, where the transfer started 2.
