Usb ports are of limited use partly due to ios restrictions but also because powering both ports and the ipad is not reliable

Could not get it to drive my apogee groove for example even when plugged into external power whereas the groove plugged directly into the ipad works fine

It seems the biggest improvement from usbc is that its nearly impossible to find a small hub that offers passthrough charging

Since im apparently the last person on earth with cameras that use cf my only real complaint is that the hubs cord is stiff and sticks out the middle of one of the sides making the thing larger than it should be

The first was the apple brand version that is similar to this owc dock and it stopped working after its first use and i had to take it back and exchange it
