Pros & Cons
Pros
Have only used once to steam bok choy and asparagus. Strainer fits snugly in pot so no steam spitting out at the junction. The steamer basket is solid, much more heavy and sturdy than a few others i've used.
Great for cooking soups, stews, pasta, etc. It is so easy to drain the pasta right from the pan without worrying about putting a colander in the sink. The design of this pot lets you lift up noodles because there is an inner layer that’s a cauldron.
This oxo pot is top-notch quality, excellent material and workmanship all the way. It's made of heavy, good quality stainless steel. The bonus is that this works on my induction cooktop.
The spacious size of this pot is a standout feature, making it perfect for preparing large batches of food. This is a multi purpose boiling/steamer pot where you can do a bunch of seafood as well. It is perfect and if you make food often with this sor... Read More

This stock pot is a good value.

Shipping
The pot arrived quickly and carefully packaged.
Competitiveness
I have owned a set of cuisinart cookware for over a decade that's very similar in design to this oxo pot.
I expected this boiler/steamer to be smaller considering a lot of companies make things look bigger in the pictures for selling... Read More
