Pros & Cons
Pros
You will not be disappointed. It comes in about 50-60 bucks cheaper.
It grinds very fast and without static mess in canister, on counter or on machine. The clear plastic top is not airtight, but this really isn't an issue. The stainless steel container empties perfectly clean every time.
Easy to adjust for how fine of a grind. Nice, even grind for my drip maker. Wish it had some sort of cord management built into the base.
The demo videos make it sound loud but it was so quiet i wasn't sure it was plugged in! The aroma is magical. Well built and sturdy.
It works flawlessly, even at the finest setting for grounds. My only issue is that the timer dial doesn't seem to work properly. My workaround is that i just turn the grinder off when i think it's ground enough.
Cons
The noise level is bothersome, especially in the morning when the grinding permeates the entire house. There is no tool to use in clearing the shoot thru which the ground beans flow.
The * the coffee comes out of is plastic and is relatively long. As a result the coffee consistently sticks to it and will clog. Clogs constantly and is impossible to clean.
Highlights
Quality
It is quiet, has a consistent grind, and the removable blades and removable hopper allow for cleaning.
Works well, good quality, and doesn’t take much space on the counter.
Power button very loose and does not work.
Without holding it in place, ground coffee spills out.
Price
This is definitely an upgrade - as it should be for about double the cost.
It did cost a little more than i wanted to spend but so far, it's well worth it.
00 on amazon is not worth the money.
If you are an espresso lover and have spent $700,00 to $7,000.
Packaging/appearance
Five-star if a solid cover was added to the package.
Competitiveness
Price is a little high, but much more worth it than a $50/$60 competitor.
This grinder is so much nicer than the smaller krups grinder i used to use.
I bought a replacement as cr rates this one as the best.
On the other end of the scale, when selecting a coarsest grind for a french press coffee for example, this grinder will give yo... Read More
