I never thought i would own something like this for less than $250.

I sent a question to support on the oxo site two days ago but haven't responded.
Advanced shipment with a prepaid label for returning the bad unit.

Im not sure but it seems that the opening leading to the receiving container is too small and the coffee backs up in the chute
