Pros

Good solid piece of scooper. Scoops out ice cream really easily. All family use it with a pleasure and without any struggles what we had by using other style ice cream scoops.

Cons

The coating peels off all over the surface and into your scooped food. Disgusting, possibly dangerous.

The scoop is not dishwasher safe. It will end up in the dishwasher and that will be the end of it as the finish comes off and it no longer looks hygienic. The warning should have been put in large letters on the front of the packaging.

Saw my sister with the oxo can opener and liked the idea and quality and figured this would be better than the ice cream scoop we had

We wash it under the hot tap (softened water, could still be a problem later with the chrome) and immediately dry it on a kitchen towel.
