Pros & Cons
Pros
The build quality is awesome, super sturdy and has a nice weight. It feels sturdy and stays put when in use. It's not the fault of this product, it's just how a mandoline operates.
This mandoline slicer has a stainless steel slicing base. The veggie holder is wider then the mandoline body which reduces the possibility of cutting yourself. The food pusher is large enough to cover the food and the cutting blade.
Cons
The wavy cut blade is even duller than the straight blade. The blade is so full it took all my strength to get nothing! The hand guard is really awful. The quality of the blade and design of the hand guard seemed so misguided that it was a moot point.... Read More
Do not, under any circumstances, buy this mandoline. My ancient v slicer still works so much better than this oxo. I spend the extra bucks on the stainless steel model because i thought it was attractive.
Hand guard shreds food as if it was a tenderizer. Anything softer than a potato is just turned to mush. Almost any cut thicker than 3mm makes the vegetables stuck.
This is my first mandolin slicer and i'm pretty disappointed with its features. Decided to upgrade my 6-year-old brorner mandolin for this, what a mistake. Due to the blades it's pretty much unusable.
Pre-blade body flexes downward when slicing hard items like carrots. Works okay-ish only for thin slicing and after you sharpen the main blade. Works a little better at thinner thicknesses but not by much.

None of them could cut very well, and the blades would be pushed down by any amount of pressure causing slices to be irregular ... Read More
