Pros & Cons
Pros
It is not just for fancy folks or people who make pies. Made quick work of pitting all of them in on sitting. Our toddler loves eating cherries, but we got tired of constantly pulling out a pairing knife.
Works as advertised, seems well made, good value for money. A little more expensive than other brands, but it lasts. Does have some problems with larger cherries but is still worth every penny.
A little effort is req'd to get a complete clean. Incredibly well made, easy to use and clean, saves me so much time.
Cons
The pits are often of a diameter that is too large for the * in the pitter. Didn't realize the olives were not pitted. This product is probably more intended for cherry pitting, since cherries are softer.
I just know it didn't work for my purpose.
The handle is all plastic and the plastic hinges just gave out i guess. There is nothing on the package that says it is dishwasher safe. Purchased a large expensive jar of olives by mistake.
