You have to put the kettle at an awkward angle to get the water in the spout while its open

Handle does not get hot and shouldnt as long as you follow the heating instructions like dont boil all the water outnot likely with the loud whistle

It was so heavy and quiet i walked away and forgot the stove was on and that tea kettle got so hot the handle and spout completely melted off

The previous kettles handle attachment came loose and there was no way of reattaching it

Since i have generally had great experiences with oxo productsi am hoping that the earlier kettle was just a lemon and that i will not have the same problem with this
