Pros
This is so much easier and faster. The handle is thick, study, and easy to grip. It's sharp and doesn't require a lot of strength to do the job. Sturdy andeasy to use.
It works great. Does what it promises. Have purchased several of these and will most likely purchase again for gifts.
Cons
The tool is dull and has to be forced through the apple. I'm a faithful oxo purchaser, but this item disappoints me. This product was just shipped in an envelope, not a box and was therefore flattened like a pancake.

Its very sharp so it goes easily through the apple

I do have a slight problem getting it to go through straight so that it makes one hole through the apple without me hsving to make a second hole getting another piece of the core
