Pros

Stable either connected or separated. Comes apart easy for single use and for cleaning. Only drawback is that it can't be opened to a flat position so you have to use it in the tent-like shape.

The oxo grater works wonderfully well--very sharp. There's just about nothing you need sharper graters for. This grater easily grates fresh ginger. It is sharp which is good for quick, easy grating.

Hand washing is the best way to go. It cleans up so well in the dishwasher.

The microplane side does a number on garlic. This is the easiest grater i've used besides the one that attaches to my stand mixer.

This grater is much sturdier, more compact and has protective covers that go over the blades. I like the sturdy plastic blade-covers which insure safe storage.

Cons

It is shap, easy to use, and stores great, but it has already cracked at the bottom. Very disappointingly. This means it is not as sturdy as the graters that have fixed sides and are more rigid.
