Pros

Coffee stays hot for at least 1. Hours with the lid sealed. Helps to prevent tongue burning and allows for comfortable sipping. Perfect to sip from without burning your tongue.

Cons

I & my money will hold-out for version 2. Oxo prides themselves on brilliant re-design of everyday items, but this one needs to go back to r&d. Second major flaw is it's inability to be cleaned.

The lid has a complex spout and airhole which lead to an area that is off-limits to any sponges or washcloths. It is not dishwasher safe.

Everything leaks except the vent. The descriptions says 3 seals insure no leaks - but unfortunately that was not true. It leaks, unless u leave the vent open until the coffee cooled down.

The lid on this mug is a miserable failure. The brown slime is years of partially dried coffee and cream.

Oxo engineers bowed to complaints of smell and hard-to-clean-ness.

This product keeps my morning coffee hot for the whole day.

I always loved the great quality of oxo, but now i love their customer service as well!

I lost mine and tried to replace it with the newer model which has dual walls but not vacuum insulation.

Yet with the depression of a button, you are able to drink.

Competitiveness

I expect my new one (with a thankfully cleanable valve) will last forever like my old one.

It's my replacement for a different mug from a different manufacturer.

They're indestructible as with other oxo products.
