Pros & Cons
Pros
It does an excellent job and doesn't take very much manual power to do so. This one is easy. Push and twist. Happy with this purchase.
It cleans well, is sturdy, and is easy to use. The potato masher is dishwasher safe.
Cons
This masher is only good if you cook a small amount of potatoes and mash them in a small pot. With it's flat head and small holes, it hardly mashes; more properly, it flattens. The repeated force of mashing things was too much for the masher.
I like the large, wide grip, but that's about it. I rather be robbed by the product. Lack of quality is apparent in the manufacture.
The jamie oliver handle is way too short. It's long metal shafts and flat head make for a poor design. The side wasn't welded very well.
Highlights
Quality
Very sturdy, great grip and a great size.
It does a nice, complete job,is easy to hold and it washes up nicely.
Spend a little more, buy once and fuggedaboudit!
I was always disappointed when i used my old potato masher; it was awkward, and it didn't give the best results.
Competitiveness
After trying cheaper versions of potato smashers, whether from target or dollar tree, this one is supreme.
I like it better than my "old fashioned" potato masher.
