Edited to add, after 2 years and going through the dishwasher many many times, the wood is smoothed out.

What a great find for the price!

It might be available for less elsewhere but i figure in the time spent at the store (my time is worth something!

I buy these kinds of things when i want something else which is slightly under $25.

So i buy something cheap to enable me to get the free shipping.

But the same thing happened, out of the box they were fine, but the wood felt nasty after they were exposed to water.

Competitiveness

This oxo brand spoon more than excels over those more expensive, and over rated spoons.

They are so very superior to those generic, cheap wooden spoons with thin handles that are uncomfortable to hold.
