I thought that the press down button atop each container was to create a slight vacuum effect in the container but it is actually just to push the black silicone seal on the lid outward to seal the container

We wash new storage containers by habit so that was the first thing we noticed

Im not too keen on things that need a bit of simple disassembly to do something routine like cleaning especially things that can break fairly easily so im hoping that they shouldnt need regular washing out
