Pros

The top pops up and you pump it to spin, which is much more durable and easier to use than the old pull cord type. Quality is robust and spins the salad fast. Delivery was prompt.

New oxo salad spinner is sturdier, cleans easier, and works great. Flat lid makes it easier to store.

Nothing else works as well for salad greens and fresh cilantro, parsley, and basil. Mine has a hairline crack in the bowl but it's functionality is still fine. This spinner is the perfect choice for the gardener, or greens or salad lover.

Can do a whole head of romaine and store what is not needed in baggie. Does a nice job spinning the lettuce. Drying is easy with this salad spinner!

Cons

With this new model you basically have 4 different things that all have to rest just so in order to work properly (instead of 3 as in the older model) and they all settle improperly very easily. There is nothing gained in making the bottom of the appl... Read More

I was kind of worried that it wouldn't be, as i've used others at friend's houses that lacked capacity, or just felt cheap and fragile.

Really spins a lot of water out.
