Pros & Cons
Pros
Stainless water bottle is lightweight and well insulated. Keeps water cold for 24 hrs and hot for 12 hrs. This holds the temperature, but it doesn't as long as the other one i have.
Oxo water bottle is leak-proof and fits perfectly in a backpack or tote bag. The cap is large enough where you will not easily misplace it. The lid is excellent at keeping the liquid contents of the bottle secure.
Wider-mouthed bottles seem to be more universal as i've swapped wide-mouth lids between brands. The drawback is that this bottle is a bit awkward to open/close and drink from while exercising, though it is manageable.
The outside is textured for gripping it with ease even if your hands are sweaty. The coating on the outside of the bottle makes it easy to grip even when i'm sweating. Even with dry hands, it’s like opening a lid on a tough, sealed jar every time.
Stainless steel bottle is easy to clean with a bottle sponge. I mostly handwash it, but occasionally the hubby throws it into the dishwasher. It is dishwasher safe.
Highlights
Quality
Lid feels well made, doesn't leak and easy to clean.
Good quality, does not leak and perfect size for a day's outing.
Edit: after testing on a flight, the pressure release hole opens before the straw, so no fountains when opened on a plane.
The drinking part of the straw is a hard smooth plastic that gives nothing to grip onto and isn’t nice to bump your teeth against.
Price
All in all, this is a great bottle that's a great price too - you really cannot go wrong with it.
Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.
I bought the black 24oz on sale.
Shipping
Update: got fully refunded, will order a new one, hopefully will arrive in mint condition this time.
Packaging/appearance
I would have loved it if a cleaning brush had been packed with this, but that's not a requirement.
This checks every box i was looking for!
Competitiveness
This is a very well insulated bottle, and it seems to hold up favorably to the ones i have from contigo and similar brands.

The dark cobalt color is sharp and surprisingly the oxo branding is minimal and is barely noticeable

The opening is big enough to wash the inside with a bottle brush

And it takes even more strength to unscrew it later especially if you filled it with a cold liquid which makes everything shrink just a bit

And it’s even worse with wet hands

At the very least it would have been nice if oxo coated the cap with the same texture as on the bottle or even better designed the cap like a cogged wheel to give your fingers indentations to better grip the cap and apply the firm pressure needed to screw and unscrew it

This 34miss34 somewhat surprises me from oxo whose products were founded on the need for easy gripability
