To add insult to injury the solid construction leads me to believe that i will no longer be in the dark for years to come even if i drop it in water thanks to the orings on both the top led compartment and bottom battery compartment did not test this though

It works with 3 aa batteries not included which fit it a removable battery pack making it easy to install batteries and to remove the battery pack if light is going to be used sparingly thus extending battery life i just flip the battery pack around and reinsert it in the light the contacts dont make contact so current is not being conducted and batteries are not being drained
