Pros & Cons
Pros
Product is well made and sturdy. Just wish it was self propelled. Makes nice holes in grass to hopefully improve drainage.
You have to use this when the grass is damp. Some areas have more soil than others (stony areas etc. Only downside is that it frequently gets blocked and has to be cleared with a cane.
Within 3 weeks my lawn looks much better and is not muddy. Pleased with product and will use again in the autumn. Impressed by other reviews and the price.
Cons
The hollow tines are level - so they are really hard to push into the ground. It ends up punching big holes without taking any soil out. Tines filled with mud, and really difficult to use.
Soil clogs every 3 rows (15 holes) when the tubes become full. Diameter of the lawn tubes is too small at 10mm. Tubes need to be 18-20mm diameter. Soil compacts inside the tines, making the job impossible.

Before you buy it may be a good idea to soak your lawn and then test the ground with a garden fork just to see how hard the ground is because if its too compacted it may be better to hire a aerator machine
