Pros & Cons
Pros
A great product from lyman. Well made and pretty stout. Over one hundred simulated reloads with snap caps.
This model holds the cartridges securely, without flopping or rattling around. It takes a pretty firm grip to turn the knob and lock them in place. The shape of this speedloader is the best answer to that problem.
Have oversize grips on my sp101, fits as well any either of the other brands. Can use one-handed with off hand while keeping firing grip. Fits the lcr 38/357 with either the standard finger groove grip or with the bantam boot grip installed.
Cons
It is durable but the knob is entirely too hard to turn when loaded. Knob is way to tight to turn with one hand. The clearance in loading is unacceptable and requires a fair amount of manipulating to get the cartridges into the revolver.
Hks is too big in diameter for the ruger lcr. One is the pachmayr/ lyman brand, in this review. Does not fit in a new charter arms mag pug.
Buyer's remorse sets in. It's a shame because pachmayr usually makes outstanding products. Junk and/or qc fail. Still hard to use.
graphic content. The speed loader is a liability in a life or death situation should you need to reload quickly. Cartridges rattle around in the thing sounding like a maraca.

Best speed loader for the 357 lcr i've found to date.
Other manufacturer's loaders have a larger diameter cylinder which can bind with the revolver's frame during reloading.
Price
Lite weight, and well worth the price.

This small-diameter speedloader was designed for compact revolvers like the charter arms undercover.
Was annoying at first but as i said it's a matter of practice.
Competitiveness
Have oversize grips on my sp101, fits as well any either of the other brands.

The hks is too fat and the 5 star works but the rounds are very loose and flop around when held by the speed loader

You can get the rounds seated all the way if you fiddle with it but the fastest way to load is to get the nose of the rounds started in the cylinder and release and let gravity take over

One star off because it fell apart in shipping or more likely was never assembled correctly and i had to reassemble it myself and put the tiny spring and detent ball in there and install the snap ring
