These grips offer a solid purchase for the pinky - something the stock s&w boot grips do not. The old grips are two separate pieces of rubber for the grip. This new set is one piece of rubber connected on the backstrap of the grip for the *.

It gives one a solid grip and absorbs recoil very well. It helps to balance the gun very efficiently. Bought them to reduce the recoil on smith and wesson 357 mag.
