It gives a very close shave rivaling my safety razor. Shaves as close as my mach 3 and fusion manual razors using shave gel. Well built and reasonably priced electric razor.

The battery life is good. The only shortcoming for me is the higher cost and panasonic deciding to no longer remain neutral on social issues. All the panasonic arc5 shavers are excellent.

Cons

Norelco razor is very difficult to get a close shave. High priced razor is ready for the garbage unless i can find a reasonably priced outer foil.

It shows a high charge level after one shave (80-100%) but rapidly drops to zero if i try to get a second shave before recharging.

It hurts my face while using it (especially wet shaving) it itches after ‎shaving. The inexplicable chip in the foil now causes awful welts to form across my skin with even the lightest touch from the razor, rendering it completely useless. You have t... Read More

Quality

So far i am impressed with the build quality and the amount of head rotation.

Close and clean shave , battery lasts a long time!

I did my first shave with 2 days growth and was blown away!

So far all i've done for a year is smack off the shaver dust and blow it off.

Price

I thought i'd give a chinese triple rotary razor for $40 with good reviews on amazon a try.

I started out wanting to spend less, but i was very disappointed with several shavers i tried.

The amazon price was amazingly less expensive than in my local store, almost $100.

I have a pile of electric shavers that i got for $40-60.

Competitiveness

The panasonic shaver provides a nice close shave as compared to other brands.

From my research and many years of experience i have concluded that panasonic is the superior brand for shavers hands down.

The panasonic shaver also misses the small hairs around the edge of the lips, which the philips norelco was good at getting.

While the leading brand performs as well, the bother (and cost) of refill cartridges is more than i want to deal with.
