Pros

All of the features are a bit overkill for our needs but the voice quality is definitely an improvement. I am amazed at how much quieter the phone is now. Setup is very easy and fast - just plug in the desk speakerphone to your wired phone line.

The panasonic kx-tgf892 phone has many options and configurations. It is definitely the most advanced landline phone i’ve ever had or used. This is the quality i've come to expect of panasonic.

Ooma is a standalone device that lets you make phone calls using the internet. Uses rechargeable nimh aaa batteries, so if your batteries die, you can buy more nimh batteries almost anywhere.

Bluetooth earbuds connect via bluetooth to a headset or earphone. Set up with a jabra speakerphone, so the blue tooth is nice to have.

I really appreciate the addition of a block caller button up-front. The functionality has been there for ages, but you previously had to get to it through a menu system. That’s a handy feature.

Cons

The * on the older model were recessed within a slight concave shape. Panasonic does little to help determine device compatibility.
