Pros & Cons
Pros
If you are looking for a great cordless phone-especially for a senior this one is great! It also announces who is calling! Good value and exceptional sound quality.
Cons
Panasonic customer support is non-existent. It continually says main unit no power. Can't shut off the automated answer - this phone is for work so i want my personal greeting on there. Stay away from panasonic.

They’re standard aaa size, nimh technology, chinese origin - and only 300mah in capacity.
Price
The stock batteries should be immediately replaced with a $5-10 set of generics, for triple the handset life off the charger.
Competitiveness
Specially their landline phones they work a lot better than other brands.
The amazon brand of replacement aaa nimh batteries are 800mah, and another value brand sold on amazon advertises over 1000mah.
Most significantly, panasonic really cheaped out on the stock batteries.

I note that they do not provide belt clips or headphone jacks on this model which honestly we barely ever used and don’t miss

However on this model it does seem that the chargers don’t mate as well with the handsets when you drop them in so you need to check carefully that they say “charging” when you place them
