This was a replacement for another panasonic dvd player, and i'm glad i stayed with the brand.
As far as i can tell, the picture quality is excellent.

It comes with a fast on mode which uses more power when not on but starts quicker.

This is a great blu-ray player for the money.
I got a blu-ray player because our previous dvd player died and i had sold my ps3.
Works equally well on non blu-ray dvd's as well.

I looked high and low for older refurbished bluray players after learning some of the new ones have software preventing them from playing burnt dvds

I would like to connect to netflix and the other options but i will have to have interned installed near my tv for it to work

I purchased the panasonic dmpbd75 about 2 years ago and it has survived ever since even after the firmware update

The times that it freezes up are when i run the internet generally after i have watched something and am trying to power it off
