Pros & Cons
Pros
I only buy panasonic irons and to my dismay, they are hard to find in stores. The only downside is that this is the second one i buy. Compared to rowenta, panasonic is light years ahead in quality.
Cons
Adding insult to injury when you click support on the panasonic website it simply takes you to a page that describes the iron that crapped out on you.
The iron is oddly-shaped, with a tapered bottom instead of the usual wide, flat bottom. It looks like a rocket ship on a launch pad. It's clunky and heavy.
The iron comes with a cheesy measuring cup wich does not match the capacity of the iron's reservior, nor is there a funnel to make pouring easier. The color of the water reservoir (dark purple) makes it very difficult to see the water level.
Highlights
Quality
I really like the long cord and this iron is powerful and sturdy without being too heavy.
Very good iron easy to maneuver on clothing & good steam.
Saw reviews on cr for rowenta's and they are inaccurate, leaking was consistently reported.
The iron never tipped over or fell.
Price
Yes it's expensive but it is worth it.
Packaging/appearance
Just wish the water container was a clear color so i can see the water level
Competitiveness
Compared to rowenta, panasonic is light years ahead in quality.
We keep the iron; was looking for bosh brand.
