Panasonic kx-tgj420 is a single-handset landline phone. It has a built-in caller id feature to block unwanted calls. The handset feels smooth and comfortable to handle and the sound is very good.

I had an earlier version of this phone so i was used to its operation but it had limited memory and it didnt block calls

When the old phone rang i used to rush to it in case it was someone i wanted to speak to check out the displayed number which may have been legitimate but possibly not and then wait for the caller to leave a message at which point the noncallers would ring off

After 24 hour of installation i checked the missed calls and the call blocker had already stopped an autodialler call terrific

I havent tried the announcer function so cant comment on its accuracy

My assessment of battery life is based entirely on my old panasonic 2013 version

The phone itself is quite small to hold so gets slightly lost in your hand if you have big hands and its quite shiny so feels slightly slippery if you grab it in a hurry
