Oe batteries are always the way to go. Recommended for the inevitable replacement.

A month later the battery needs to be recharged (blinking red icon and message no charge) amazon with no follow through.

I believe the quality from the original manufacturer really makes a difference in reliability and durability!

Flash pics and extended videos will use it up faster, but i am very impressed with how long it holds a charge.

This battery provides 2-3 weeks of uninterrupted power.

Have taken upwards of 450 shots in a day and still had a quarter of the battery charged.

This is the real deal, very happy i found this one!

I meant to give it 4 star because of the price, but then i realized it is not the seller's or the product's fault.

I could have gone with an aftermarket battery, but for the price i paid for the camera, i didn't want to chance something going wrong.

I felt that the price i paid through amazon was very good for an oem battery but the wait (about a month!

It arrived quickly, well packed and it was unused, new condition.

Competitiveness

I was very glad to see that this was the exact same battery that came with the camera, panasonic fz100.

I didn't want to take a chance with an "off brand" so i went with the panasonic.

I cannot tell the difference between this one and my original with my fz40 camera.

I find the price of this battery outrageous but will still trust it better than the current replacements from dodgy sites.
