Pros

Good reliable product for occasional use. In this age of * products, this one is an exception. A very handy and saves your time.

Excellent for making 10 to 15 lb. Of meat. Used once or twice per week 1-2-3 pounds of meat, just enough for my family. Used it to make a coarser grind for my chili. All of my relatives / family's restaurant use it for make a fresh ground chicken/pork...  Read More

This one is just perfect. You won't be disapointed. Great meat grinder.

The waring pro model is extremely loud, so this makes a nice upgrade because of the noise. I disagree with the reviewers that state that this model is quiet. The decrease in noise and a slightly better aesthetic of the design are worth the upgrade.

Cons

Meat is easily get stuck. It leaks oil or some unidentified black substance into food.

Quality

It is made in japan, the quality is better than other choices.

I am very impressed with the grinder.

Just because it is made in japan does not automatically make it a higher quality product than a product made in china or elsewhere.

I not get my order because of the deliverly system.

Packaging/appearance

Pondering about buying a cabelas big bite commercial grinder but realize this grinder has served me well for the 7 years i’ve o...  Read More

Competitiveness

It handled a 30lb brisket no prob last weekend in about 10 minutes or so.

I am sure that the more exspensive commercial grinders do a better job.

I hope this panasonic mk-g20nr-w super heavy-duty electric meat grinder gonna work for me too.

In this age of crappy products, this one is an exception.

To me this is a marketing trick

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The analogous waring pro i suspect this is a copy of that design or waring copied someone elses similar design and then panasonic copied that as well etc

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Waring pro is so loud that you need to wear ear protection

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

This one however is still quite loud but less than the waring model at the tradeoff of some power not a problem for most people i suspect and the lack of the motor reverse feature

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I guess the loudness problem in gear reduction in these types of grinders is hard to solve while making them economically feasible at the same time or perhaps it is simply ignored by the engineers
