Pros

Not a deal breaker for us but could be an issue for others. This one is cheaper than other branded japanese models with the same feature set (toshiba, tiger, zojirushi). For the price it’s a good deal. Bought this one instead of the pricier models.

Panasonic 5 cup rice cooker with fuzzy logic is a must-have kitchen appliance. It's super convenient and takes the guesswork out of cooking rice. Also cooks brown rice very well, although it takes a long time.

The non-stick really does the job as i've not had to scrub the insert at all, just rinsing has the leftover bits sliding out! It's easy to clean, too. Wish it had a beep tone when done. Luckily, it cleans up easily.

The steamer option is really nice too and the basket it comes with works great. Steaming vegetables and other things works super well. The only issue is that the steam plate is plastic which makes is flimsy.

The keep warm feature seems to be excessively hot. Oatmeal is overcooked and very starchy after using the oatmeal setting.

Tried to get panasonic on the phone. They're not open. Emailed ceo of panasonic but no response. Next turns out panasonic lied.

This product is very sketchy. Soon after buying, the color starts deteriorating. Not impressed by the flimsy materials.
