It's good for getting in those nooks and cranny's in your back. All i know about shiatsu is what someone named alexa told me. It's at a great price point as well as it works just as good as higher priced models.
Comes with ac wall adapter and cord and 12 volt car cord and power adapter. It is electric, so it has to be plugged in. Only downside is that the heating function gets too hot.

I have other devices similar to this and am familiar with the relief their usage provides.
I confess, there are features in the product i don't understand, such as the flexible straps.
