If you are weighing large items the lcd readout can get covered easily by the item such as bike shoe or large envelope

It might help if the lcd display was at an angle a little toward the front rather than facing straight up

This is a great little scale seems accurate to the 2gram spec ive tested it with various camping items of known weights and it was pretty much spot on with a few exceptions where it was likely a misstated spec by the item manufacturer

You can measure larger items by putting a piece of cardboard a box or some other container on the scale clicking the powertare button to zero out the weight then adding your actual item to be measured

One issue with this scale that is a pet peeve of mine with other products as well they only put two rubber feet on it in the front to save cost i suppose

Youll know its not a good base when it gives you 2 readings that are 23 grams different
