Our old knob cracked on the back ours was a “d” shaped or “half moon” so i had to be careful which replacement i ordered

The slot inside that fits over the prong of the dimmer coming out of the wall is deeper than needed so we had to cut down a plastic eraser to create a shim inside the slot so it would fit properly
