I'd been using a very old and much larger wifi module taken from an e-wasted laptop in our living room media pc for years.

Anyway, this worked just fine for me and it's a solid price at $10 so i'll be right back here if i ever need another.

If you dont care what chipset you use and dont already have one and just want a card for your windows desktop i would recommend just getting a pcie x1 intel ax200 or ax210 kit because this will be more work and more money for the same result at best
