Pros

This is the perfect lunch box/ i’ve chest. It’s big but my husband truly loves it.

The pelican has an area in the lid,for one to keep keys,credit card, etc. The inside tray and top compartment are handy. Top lid is good to put trail mix in and sun flower seeds. Latches secure tightly & are easy to use.

This 14-quart is a very useful medium/small size and it keeps things nice and cold. The trey is great can keep food there that won’t get soaked from ice water. Keeps 8 or 10 drinks cold for couple of days with just reusable blue ice things.

This is lighter then what we thought. I get some looks when carrying the cooler what is that? Wish it had a strap to carry over your shoulder. Consider making the handle like the very comfortable one on your 20-qt model.

Cons

The tray just absorbs heat right through the top. Not excited after using on the lake an in other sunny hot conditions in the * state during mid summer.

Took this on a trip and worked awesome, no leaks, build quality is amazing.

The longer i use it the more im ok with the size for the tradeoffs it offers.

Price

It has a good look, locks, has a storage basket, etc… the price is a little high but it’s pelican durable.

Packaging/appearance

That said, however it keeps a 1lb ice pack frozen for almost 14hrs sitting in the breakroom.

Competitiveness

Great product just a little over priced.

I use this cooler as a beach volleyball parent.

That is why i gave a poorer than most rating.

Just would be nice if pelican integrated shoulder strap hooks like some of their competitors.
