Quality
The longest lens i have is a 28-300mm and if i had gone with the 1550 case i would have had to lay it down.
Pelican cases are the highest quality cases you can buy.
We have been fortunate to not have to submerse the case in water, however should we need to i am confident the case will perform.
I use pelican cases for camera equipment and i have never been disappointed!

The pick and pluck foam is great and there are 2 layers of it provided in this case not including the bottom and top linings
