I feel pelican has completely dropped the ball with their quality of product, and more so their customer service. After all, that is the sole purpose of me purchasing a pelican product.

Very heavily built and suitable for air transportation.
Very secure latches and four metal-reinforced locking points.
After only one trip one of the metal pieces was already falling off.
The metal reinforcements around each of the 4 lock holes seem to detach quite easily.
Price
For me this case is worth every penny to protect my investments.
I was on the fence about this due to the price but once i got my hands on it, the superior quality became abundantly clear.

Modifying the foam was pretty easy just sit your gear on the foam in the layout you want then cut around it and pop out the foam but i think i prefer the pelican 34pick and pluck34 foam better since it provides a cleaner result

I removed it and bent it back so it was tight again and then slid it back on the case but its something to be aware of so you dont lose them when removing your locks

The interesting thing about this case is that apparently it is the standard size of a case used to transport rifles so airlines will immediately assume that thats what is inside

The interesting part is that even though the case isnt being declared as a firearm which i assume would entail having some sort of special tag attached by the airline or something it is still treated as a firearm at the destination

Each time i go to retrieve this case from the luggage carousel i end up finding that its not there and that i have to go to the baggage office and show id before they will release the case to me
