Pros

The pelican sentinel 100x angler is a great one person beginner kayak. It's not perfect, but i can customize it to my liking. This kayak is appropriate for beginners and experienced kayakers alike.

This kayak is roomy, solid, with a perfect area for my dog! The wide hull provides stability and comfort for hours of comfortable kayaking.

It has convenient handles molded into the sides for easy loading and unloading from the water. The middle console is a nice addition to holding water and your phone. On the water it's sturdy and easy to control.

Cons

Big gash in the bottom. Buy locally. Pelican makes great products - but that doesn't do you any good unless whoever is delivering them can do so without damaging them.

I'm giving it 4 stars based on shipping alone.

Amazon's communication about shipping was good, and even explained that someone had to be home to sign for it.

Packaging/appearance

I will probably buy a nice soft case cooler for back there, and leave some spare ropes just for emergency tied into the bungees.

Great kayak for 500 but packaging is horrible should be in a box and wrappped in bubblewrap

Competitiveness

It's not perfect, but i can customize it to my liking at a cheaper price point than a $1k boat.
