The paddle is amazing for the price! It is so much better than the cheapo paddles that they throw in with the kayak at the local home store. It deserves its 4. Get this or use it as a less expensive backup.

The only criticism i have is that on the indigo colored one, the sybmiosa design is an emblem. I wish it came in a few more color varieties but i am more about function personally.

Gel coat in some spots you can feel the carbon weave like they didnt apply enough resinbonding agent first couple times together it was catching at the connection point all around tho still better then a cheap aluminum paddle

I dont think it will make much difference in functionality or anything but figured some folks may want to know how easily the finish can become damaged
