Really well made, quality product thoroughly recommended and simple to install.
I'm not sure how detrimental it would be but with the open grain on the rings can't be good if do it excessively.
There are cheaper out there but the wood rings are obviously quality from pelton.
Price
Good value for the price, feels good and durable.
Competitiveness
By far the best rings i have used outside of a gymnastics gym.
