Customers have mixed opinions regarding the filter cartridge quality of Pentair's O.E.M CNC Plus 420 Filter Cartridges. While some are pleased with their sturdiness, longevity, and superior performance compared to aftermarket filters, others have experienced issues with shorter lifespan and lack of proper markings on the end caps.

They appear to be very sturdy, with plentiful glue used in the filter stabilization bands.
Not worth knocking a star off though, pretty minor stuff and probably not necessary to even worry about picking off like i did.
The knockoff filters only lasted 2 years and started falling apart on the 2nd cleaning.
They fail quickly after using the 911 treatment they cannot clean water and stays cloudy.
Price
Spend the extra $100 and get these instead of the knockoffs.
I found these on sale and they were less than the aftermarket filters.

Box says genuine pentair replacement filters but unlike previous order the end caps are blank and have no lettersnumbers molded in them to indicate brand and model number

They got a little crazy with the band glue in places with some glue globbing outside the band areas and some glue strings here and there on the media
