My initial hayward super pump that came with the pool installation 14 years ago lasted for about seven years then i replaced just the motor new sealgaskets which lasted about five years

The inside of this motor assembly was absolutely corroded

The seal failed allowing water to enter the motor assembly and corroded the inside of the motor and it completely failed also seizing one of the 6203 bearings wiring end of motor

The corrosion was so bad it actually fell apart at the bottom

The water flow on high is the same as the hayward when it worked 21 months only and on low speed it still pumps out a reasonable amount of water onehalf as claimed

Most of the fancy new variable speed pumps vsps are only 1 ½ hp unless you spring for one of the outrageous 1300 topoftheline pumps
