Pentair 222 pro vac is an outstanding product. I vacuum my campground pool every friday and this vacuum head works great. Cut my vacuuming time in half.
Terrific vac. Easy to put together, operational right out of the box. Love it. Great price and shipping.
It appears to be quite durable. The swivel connection for the pole is very well made. It is weighted nicely and easy to guide around.
Pentair pool cleaner is much cheaper than automatic cleaners. It cleans so fast so it's much less work! Effortless cleaning now and very quick.
Comes with an extra set of sealing strips for the leading and trailing sides. There is an extra rubber strip you can install if the vac isn't getting enough suction. Perfect suction and ease of use.
Cons
Heavy and cumbersome to maneuver. Cannot adjust wheel height for commercial pumps.

It does not brush the gunnite, it vacuums sediment such as sand, pine needles, small leaves and worms up from the bottom.

Water suction flow doesnt make it stick to the bottom like the cheap hayward plastic suction head the pool company provided for more than twice the cost of this pentair model

The disadvantage to this is you cant really clean the walls with this as it wont stay tight on the wall

When our hayward phantom turbo automatic pool cleaner became damaged we obtained a pentair 222 to manually clean our 40k gallon pool until the phantom was repaired

This tool offers several advantages over the automatic pool cleaners 1 you can clean a specific area of your pool quickly a few minutes as opposed to waiting for an automatic pool cleaner to randomly pass over the area could take hours to cover a specific location 2 the pentair plus a hose and pole is much less expensive than the automatic cleaners by an order of magnitude
