Pros

Pentair has a clip to open the trap to remove the leaves. For complaints about the hinge cracking, it makes sense.

Great product. Only complaint is that as it is all plastic over time it gets brittle. Purchased this w a g3 zodiac. Just had to replace the clasp today.

Cons

The unit works great for about 5 minutes until air enters the pentair canister. The seal around the cannister opening tends to not be airtight even under the best of circumstances.

Have bought a couple of these pricey suckers with same results. I'm inclined to just replace the unit with a cheaper variation that has a threaded closure and plastic basket inside.
