I had to put my son in charge of netting the pool off and clearing it at least twice a week in summer or it would get over whelmed with debris

A couple of notes on usage you only use the vacuum gauge to get the initial suction set up then you remove the gauge and substitute the plug that is included

I dont adjust the lever on top of the basket once i have the device set up i find that when the vacuum is moving more slowly it indicates that i need to clean out the basket of the vacmate and the basket at the pump and backwash the filter
