Pentax's compact travel binoculars are great for birdwatching. They can be stashed in a handbag or kept in the glove compartment. Great price value at this price range.

Price
These were recommended by wirecutter, and the price was good.
I'm sure that leitz might be better, but at many times the cost.
Competitiveness
I have had all ranges of binocs from lecia to zeiss to 5 dollar tascos and i will tell you these are excellent especialy for the money.
We now have 2 pairs of these binocs.
Note that i have the same problem with my wife's leica 8x25's, so this is not a problem just for these pentax's, but an enginee... Read More

They are too tight difficult to remove and once off need to go in your pocket

And last there is no lens cap for the front lenses

These seem to have a fairly narrow exit pupil which makes adjustment to use with eyeglasses very sensitive

I have difficulty keeping my arms up while holding something so most decent binoculars are impossible for me
