I would say the image quality is comparable so that should not be the deciding factor

Both have good manual focus fulltime override although the da 14 focus ring does not turn in af mode while the da 15 limited does like the other da limited lenses

There is a bit of dampening on the focus ring but it is less than the da 14 da 35 limited and da 2040 limited while being more than the da 21 and da 70 original green rings based on all the lenses i have
