Pros

The color rendition is outstanding with this lens. The bokeh (the quality of the background blur) is creamy smooth. I just love the way it blends all colors in the background.

It's a must have lens for any serious photographer using the pentax system. I am now able to capture low-light pictures of my baby that were previously impossible to capture with my tamrom.

The specs sheet for this lens is good but doesn't seem that great compared to other lenses priced around $1000. It is all i want to use anymore. I am glad i bought mine several years ago as price seems to have skyrocketed.

The build quality is high. It feels very sturdy and compact. Compact and lightweight plastic body but feels solid. Its rugged construction and small size make it an ideal mate with both pentax aps-c cameras and film.

This is a great lens on a bargain price.

Needless to say that was such a bargain for this lens.

I bought it new on amazon for less than two hundr.

I paid less then $300 for this lens elsewhere (sorry amazon) and feel this was money well spent.

Shipping

The delivery was prompt and the packaging was carefully done.

I have to admit they came through and i was quite satisfied.

Until then, i am sold on fast primes.

Competitiveness

As far as value, canon and nikon make similar lenses for hundreds less, but since i'm into the pentax system it was the best option.

Performance:this lens still shines compared to its contemporaries.

It's also extremely small compared to the typical 80mm or 85mm portrait lenses you'll find on the market.
