Pros
I like the extendable eyepieces and the lockable diopter adjustment. Great for backyard birding, etc. Also great for broadway type shows and concerts. Very nice set of binoculars.

I am very impressed by the clarity and brightness of the image in the pentax, which is far superior to my older pair.
Packaging/appearance
Of course, i have not tested out the waterproofness of the new pentax yet, but i am hopeful that they will never have the same problem.
Competitiveness
I purchased these binoculars to replace a similarly-sized 10x25 pair, from another maker, which i had owned for many years.

Part of the reason for that is the older pair once had moisture intrude into the body and even after drying them out the image was never the same

I hope that these mechanical devices will be durable enough to last for many years but i cannot say at this point
