Pros & Cons
Pros
Fantastic bit of kit and great value. The grip is comfortable to a degree that i cannot even put into words. Unlike many similar priced mechanical pencils that are plastic.
Everything about the pencil is superlative. Wasn’t expecting too much for a pencil, however was pleasantly surprised with this.
This mechanical pencil is the best i have ever had the pleasure of using. Good weight, sturdy, fantastic grip and the. Well-engineered, balanced beautifully with plenty of grip. These are fabulous technical pencils.
Sidenote, the eraser works great especially with softer leads. The retractable nib is the ‘tops’ with this pen. Came with the 3 leads as described too.
I’m very pleased with this pencil as it’s got a lovely weight to it. Mechanism is satisfying, and it seems pretty robust.
Cons
The retract action is rather clumsy and the lead a bit scratchy. Grip, weight and especially the clip is just wrong.
Highlights
Quality
Really pleased with the graphgear 1000, with its smooth hide/extend lead mechanism and comfortable grip.
Came with the 3 leads as described too.
Might be expensive for one pencil, but when it comes to art, i'd rather spend my money on quality products that i know i'll love more.
Packaging/appearance
The only negative is that it doesn't come in a box, just a plastic wrapping that had been pierced by the nib.
Competitiveness
As a carpenter and general doodler this remains the best on the market at this price.
Like it just a tad over priced

Loosen or remove the tip end before twisting the indicator otherwise you will strip the plastic thread of the midsection
